Betadine Solution is the best-selling Betadine variant and indispensable in every medicine cabinet, first aid kit, and operating room. It is suitable for rinsing and disinfecting small and shallow cuts or puncture wounds. It prevents and treats infections of small and large wounds and reduces the chance of scarring. Doctors use Betadine Solution to disinfect the surgical area before and after operations and for injections and blood transfusions. Betadine does not sting and is therefore child-friendly.

Betadine solution contains 100 mg/ml povidone-iodine.

Advice for use Betadine Solution for wounds

Suitable for cutaneous use only. Apply Betadine Solution directly from the bottle or through a cotton ball or sterile gauze pad to the wound and the skin around it. Diluting the solution is therefore not necessary. Treat the wound 1 to 2 times a day while it is still open. Or reapply if the brown color of the Betadine on the skin becomes weaker. Because when the color becomes weaker, the effect also decreases.

Pay attention to povidone iodine!

Betadine contains povidoneiodine as an active ingredient. Do not use this on large areas of skin if the thyroid gland is overactive as determined by a doctor.
